Call for a fixed-term Researcher (Tenure-Track) contract in Business Law (IUS/04). The requirements for admission and how to apply, by July 26, 2024

The Sant'Anna School, by Rectoral Decree no. 368 dated June 13, 2024, opened a public selection for the recruitment of one assistant professor (ricercatrice/ricercatore a tempo determinato). This is a full time, tenure track probationary 6-year position, pursuant to art. 24 of Italian Law no. 240/2010, within the Academic Faculty of Social Sciences.

The position is aimed at fostering research within the L’EMbeDS Department of Excellence in the Academic Recruitment Field 12/B1 “Business Law” (recently relabeled Academic Discipline Group 12/GIUR-02 “Business and navigation law”) - Academic Discipline IUS/04 “Business Law”(recently relabeled Academic Discipline GIUR-02/A “Business Law”).

Research activities

The successful candidate will carry out research activities in the domains of Business Law, with particular reference to Regulatory innovation in data governance and data driven technologies; Markets design and integration for increased resilience and efficiency, Human-centered Artificial Intelligence, fundamental rights and fundamental rights compliant innovation; EU legislative frameworks (AI Act, DA, DGA) and EU common data spaces for global sharing, contracts and liability rules for data-driven innovation, Data governance in digital markets; competition, regulation and consumer protection in data driven markets. The successful candidate is also expected to contribute to the training, organizational and institutional activities of the Department of Excellence, of the Institute and/or Center of affiliation, and of the University.

Contract Duration and Salary

The position offers a 6-year contract with a competitive salary ranging from €40,524 to €44,208 gross per year. Candidates who achieve the appropriate qualification will be considered for tenure and promotion to Associate Professor by the end of the 6-year period.

Application Requisites

Interested candidates must hold a PhD or equivalent qualification and possess excellent English language skills. The selection process includes an evaluation of the candidate’s CV, publications, research project and a final interview.

Candidates can submit no more than 12 publications.
